I’m happy to introduce you to my illustration of Shaldon in South Devon. I’ve chosen to capture it from across the bridge in Teignmouth, looking back through the buddleia growing on the path leading down to the rugby club. You can see the Salty, Teignmouth’s back beach and the iconic Ness headland. This view is one that’s very special to me, as I spent my childhood in Shaldon and have wanted to capture it for a while now.
In addition to this print of Shaldon, you can also discover my growing range of landscape illustrations, inspired by some of my favourite views in the South West. My work centres around plants and flowers, focusing on how a view sits within the natural environment.
About my prints
I use an award winning fine art print company to produce my giclee prints (they really are fab!), using archival quality 240gsm matt art paper.

I’m Beth Hill, artist and owner of Hillfolk Illustration. My background is in Fine Art, gaining a 2:1 at uni back in the 90s. I then trained as an Art teacher and eventually settled into a career as a graphic designer. I have recently rekindled my love of drawing and now combine the skills I have learned through my day job with my traditional art training to produce illustrations that capture all that is beautiful about this part of the world.
